Project Overview:
This project formed a vital part of the development of refinery infrastructure for Phases 22, 23 and 24 of the South Pars Gas Field — one of the largest gas reserves in the world.
These phases were designed to process and transmit extracted gas to Iran’s national grid and petrochemical industries. The construction of light steel structures was a key component in expanding the operational infrastructure of the refinery.
Execution Activities:
Procurement (P):
Supply and procurement of 3,300 tons of steel components, including:
– Iron materials, sheets, angles, T-bars, rebar, and wire
– Light profiles, bolts and nuts, paints, and consumables
– Coating and reinforcement materials (electrodes, zinc, copper slag, galvanization, etc.)
Construction (C):
– Cutting, drilling, and assembly of steel components
– Welding and performing Non-Destructive Tests (NDT)
– Hot and cold galvanization, with relevant quality tests
– Sandblasting and full painting of all light steel structures
– Preparation of As-Built drawings for project documentation
