Project Overview:
Al-ansar, in partnership with Rumaila Al-Khair Oil Services Company, served as the contractor for the construction of the Dorahan Gas Compressor Station — one of the key facilities in Iran’s national gas transmission network.
This station was designed and implemented to increase pressure and optimize gas flow across transmission pipelines
Project Details:
– Gas Transmission Capacity: 90 million cubic meters per day
– Number of Turbo Compressors: 4 units (configured 3+1)
– Power per Unit: 25 megawatts
– Total Station Capacity: 100 megawatts
– Station Area: 12 hectares
Execution Activities:
– Design & Engineering:
Review, completion, and approval of basic designs; execution of detailed engineering services
– Procurement:
Supply of all specialized materials and required project equipment
– Construction:
Full execution of civil, industrial structural, building, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works
– Turbo Compressor Installation:
Installation and commissioning of 4 turbo compressors in a 3+1 configuration
– Commissioning:
Pre-commissioning, functional testing, startup, and provisional handover
– Key Challenge:
Due to its geographic location, this station was one of the most technically challenging gas facilities developed by IGEDC.
It was constructed on a steep mountainside and had to be executed in a terraced layout to adapt to the terrain.
